One of severe tests for a plane = responce at landing with engines off at min speed with full flaps extended.
Modelled an absolutely terrible situation for aircraft carrier landings i.e. suppose the thick fog and the landing crew has guided the fighter to some 12-15 ft BELOW the carrier's deck [yesterday's party was really good], in addition the engines GOT FROSEN on idle thrust = 19% power right before landing.
The plane not only escaped the crash into the carrier but also landed safely on the deck = managed a climb having approx 119 kts at lowest
point with FULL FLAPS!
This demonstrates an immense advantages of fwd-swept wing
design.
Raptor in such test couldn't do the same even having greater speed = 128 kts and placed way higher above the water level.
