  • X-IvAp on Linux 64 bits with automatic frequency tunning tutorial

    Hello,

    The tutorial bellow allow to use X-IvAp on Linux 64 bits (Debian/Ubuntu) with automatic frequency tunning (switch automatically between Teamspeak channels and servers when you change the frequency on COM1 in X-Plane).

    1) Install X-IvAp
    $ mkdir X-IvAp_034_lin
    $ tar xjf X-IvAp_034_lin.tar.bz2 -C X-IvAp_034_lin
    $ find X-IvAp_034_lin/ -name '*.DS_Store' -type f -print -exec rm {} \;
    $ cd X-IvAp_034_lin/for_plugins_folder
    $ mv X-IvApp* /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/
    $ cd ..
    # cp libfmodex64.so /usr/lib/

    2) Install Debian package teamspeak-client

    Note: Wheezy package workfine on Jessie.
    $ wget http://http.debian.net/debian/pool/n...-3.1_amd64.deb
    # dpkg -i teamspeak-client_2.0.32-3.1_amd64.deb
    # apt-get install -f

    3) Install 32 bits PulseAudio DSP libs
    # apt-get install --no-install-recommends libpulse0:i386 libpulsedsp:i386
    Note: The procedure bellow will fix: ERROR: ld.so: object '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/pulseaudio/libpulsedsp.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64): ignored.
    # cp /usr/bin/padsp /usr/bin/padsp32
    # sed -i 's/\/usr\/lib\/x86_64-linux-gnu\/pulseaudio\/libpul
    Add padsp before teamspeak binary as TeamSpeak 2 is only compatible with OSS:
    # vi /usr/bin/teamspeak
    ---
    #!/bin/sh
    #
    # This file is public domain.

    export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/lib/teamspeak-client${LD_LIBRARY_PATH:+:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH}
    padsp32 /usr/lib/teamspeak-client/teamspeak.real $@
    ---

    4) Install alternate Teamspeak
    Note: This is required because Debian package doesn't contain SDK stuff (tsControl is part of SDK stuff)
    $ wget http://http.debian.net/debian/pool/n...32.orig.tar.gz
    $ tar xzfv teamspeak-client_2.0.32.orig.tar.gz -C /home/user/ --strip-components=2 ts2_client_rc2_2032/setup.data/image
    $ mv image TeamSpeak2
    $ cd /home/user/
    $ vi TeamSpeak2/TeamSpeak
    ---
    -export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=%installdir%:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    -%installdir%/TeamSpeak.bin $*
    +export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/home/user/TeamSpeak2:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH
    +padsp32 /home/user/TeamSpeak2/TeamSpeak.bin $*
    ---
    Note: Add padsp32 before teamspeak binary as TeamSpeak 2 is only compatible with OSS. See linux_debian__teamspeak-client.txt for padsp32 setup.

    5) Replace TeamSpeak 2 orginal tsControl by a patched one
    Get tsControl.zip from http://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?...or-linux-64bit
    $ unzip tsControl.zip
    $ mv /home/user/TeamSpeak2/client_sdk/tsControl /home/user/TeamSpeak2/client_sdk/tsControl.org
    $ mv tsControl /home/user/TeamSpeak2/client_sdk/tsControl
    $ chmod 755 /home/user/TeamSpeak2/client_sdk/tsControl

    6) Install PythonInterface
    # apt-get install libpython2.7
    $ wget http://www.xpluginsdk.org/downloads/...nInterface.zip
    $ unzip PythonInterface.zip
    $ mv PythonInterface /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/
    $ mkdir /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/PythonScripts

    7) Install XP2TS
    Note: This will allow to switch automatically between Teamspeak channels and servers when you change the frequency on COM1 in X-Plane.
    $ wget -O XP2TS-master.zip https://github.com/dornathal/XP2TS/archive/master.zip
    $ unzip XP2TS-master.zip
    $ mv XP2TS-master/PI_XP2TS.py /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/PythonScripts/
    $ rm -r -f XP2TS-master
    $ vi /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/PythonScripts/PI_XP2TS.py
    ---
    PI_XP2TS : __ResourcePath = "/home/user/X-Plane 10/Resources/plugins/X-IvAp Resources/"
    ---

    8) Configure X-IvAp
    $ vi /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/X-IvAp\ Resources/X-IvAp.conf
    ---
    [ACCOUNT]
    FOLLOWME=0
    REMEMBER=1

    server = eu4.ts.ivao.aero
    ---
    $ chmod 600 /home/user/X-Plane\ 10/Resources/plugins/X-IvAp\ Resources/X-IvAp.conf

    9) Configure Teamspeak client

    Start TeamSpeak
    Connection -> Connect
    Right click on Servers
    Add Server
    Label: EU4V
    Server Address: eu4.ts.ivao.aero
    Nickname: YourName
    Tick Registered
    Login Name: YourIvaoID
    User Password: YourPassword
    Connect
    Right click on EUV4
    Clone Server
