In my opinion, Laminar have taken a backward step with WED 1.3 by changing the way that Orthomap images work. I'm no longer able to use version 1.3 to make airport scenery for the UK due to the fact that when I import an Orthomap image to use as an overlay, it comes up with an error saying that it cannot locate the map image. It also refers to this map image as a .pol, when it is clearly a .jpg image.
This decision by Laminar is probably due to the default gateway and to quote from what einstein said
"As far as I can tell from what has appeared in the forums the only new feature in WED 1.3 is its direct interface with the airports gateway. That means it would be easier to corrupt LR's database by incuding unapproved overlay material and I presume that is the reason for disabling some of the overlay import and manipulation features. For most of us that is totally unhelpful. I wouldn't ever use the airports gateway anyway because it can only accept scenery made with LR's own library objects."
I totally agree with his comments on this and I would also never use the default gateway for those same reasons.
I'm not sure exactly what laminar are playing at here but it seems they are trying their best to destroy any third party development of X-Plane 10
en gros : Laminar préserve son airport Gateway d'image personnelles qui pourraient être incluses dans les global airports.
en fait c'est une version regressive quoi !
Donc, garder la version 1.2.r4
