Hi to all of you from Austria,

first of all, thank you for that great tool! First of all, my French is not the best at all (sorry for that ), so I have to write in English... Secondly, I'm running on Windows 7 and have a problem with Ortho4XP.

I installed CygWin as described in the Video Tutorial with all additional tools like Python3 and so on. Then I've cloned Ortho4XP from Github and everything was fine. But now the problems are starting... I am unable to start Ortho4XP from Shell as it gives me multiple errors. I must state that Alpha1-Version of Ortho4XP was running fine, but since there was an update to Alpha2, things are completely strange. Here are the steps I've taken:

              1) when I start Ortho4XP from the folder using the command "Ortho4XP build_tile 48 -6" I get the error "command not found"
              2) when I start Python3 first and type in the commad "Ortho4XP build_tile 48 - 6" I get a syntax error
              3) when I start Python3 and enter the command "from Ortho4XP_alpha2.py import *" I get the error "No module named numpy"... CONFUSION!!!

Maybe someone could help me out of here...

              Thanks, Smertje

if you're with Win7, this tutorial is no longer valid

Oscar made a version for windows of Ortho4xp

most need to install Cygwin! (you can uninstall )

                just Download here :

                (Ortho4XP.7z )

after you install Python (but this is already done? with Variable system on (on install parameter)

you open the console in the Windows folder Ortho4xp

                and with the command:
                Ortho4xp.py build_tile +48 -006
no in Python editor , just in console windows !!

you make your tile "+48 -006"

                        Merci !

Première tuile Ostende réalisée correctement :-)

                              Hi @ all,

thanks to Dobro I was able to build my very first tile with Ortho4XP - LOWI (my "homebase") looks quite better now There is only one thing: is there any way to use an existing DSF-File (in my case +47+011.dsf) for tile generation? Because using the STRM data from NSGS results in quite flattend mountains...

                              Thanks, Smertje
