Hi,
This email applies only to Macintosh users who own the new MacPro and a
GeForce 7300 GT card and are using X-Plane 850. If you do not have this
machine AND this graphics card, please ignore this - this only applies
to a small select group of users.
There is some kind of bug with this machine that will cause it to Kernel
panic - we are investigating this with Apple and nVidia. In the
meantime, here are procedures to fly with sun glare turned off, which
will avoid the kernel panic:
1. Start the terminal application - it is located in the Utilities
subfolder of your Applications folder.
2. Switch to the X-plane directory in the terminal by: first type the
two letters cd and a space. Then drag your x-plane folder into the
terminal...its full long name will appear. Press return.
3. Start X-Plane by typing something like this:
X-Plane\ 850.app/Contents/MacOS/X-Plane --no_pixel_counters
Please note that the exact name of your X-Plane app may vary; there must
be a \ beforea ll spaces.
If this works, not only will you not kernel panic, but there won't be
glare when you stare at the sun, and the log will show
--no_pixel_counters early in the log, like this:

(more log would follow)
Attached is a transcript of what the terminal will show when you do this
(on my com****r at least...)

The crash is due to 850 because 850 uses a special feature to do the sun glare that induces the driver bug. The command-line option fixes the feature. Apple is working on the bug now, but please use the command line in the meantime.Réseaux CAVOK

Donc attendre....Apple and nVidia found the Kernel Panic, it is in the driver; they will address it in a future system software release. Unfortunately until then you will have to run X-Plane with the --no_pixel_counters command line option.Réseaux CAVOK

:-)Imac 21,5 1920 X 1080 Core i5 quad 8 Go Ram 1To HD ATI Radeon HD 5670 512Mo
